Do your crews speak English?
Yes. We don't care what an applicant's ethnic background is, provided he's willing to work hard and learn to do things the right way. And he must speak English. Communication is very important in moving, not just between our customer and the moving crew, but also between the members of the moving crew.
Do your pick workers up off the street?
No. We have our own group of quality movers, who work just for this company. This is the Better Way To Move team.
Should I tip the movers?
You should not feel obliged to tip the movers, but you may want to tip if you feel that the crew took special care of your belongings, or faced difficult circumstances.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. No surcharges. No surprises. We charge by the hour, then add a specific Return Trip Charge. Sometimes we need to use boxes to pack up small items to save on moving time, but only with your permission. If you need us to hold your belongings overnight, we charge an overnight storage charge.
Are you insured?
Yes. We must have a substantial policy in effect or our PUC licence would be suspended. Our liability regarding your belongings is limited to sixty cents per pound per article unless you sign for additional coverage at the beginning of the move.
