How we charge...
Hourly rate is $128 an hour for 2 men with 1 truck. If more than 2 men are needed, there is an additional $54 per hour for each additional man.
This hourly rate starts when we reach your door and continues until the completion of services at the destination. If this total time (including loading, unloading and the time spent driving between the loading site and the destination) is less than two hours, it is rounded up to two hours. Any breaks taken are deducted from the time.
The minimum charge for 2 men with a truck is $384, which covers 2 hours’ work. This minimum increases in proportion to the hourly rate, so the minimum charge for 3 men with a truck is $546, also for 2 hours of work.
Included in the minimum charge is a Trip Charge, of no less than one hour, to cover some of the cost of getting to (and from) the job. This charge takes into account the time it takes to drive between the loading site and the destination, so if you are moving more than forty miles from our office then it may be increased to take that into account. This will be specified at the time the job is booked.
Moves where no truck is needed…
If no truck is needed, such as when someone is moving within the same building, the rate is $120 for a two man crew and $54 for each additional man.
The hourly rate starts when we reach your door, and we have the same two hour minimum, to which we add a Trip Charge of no less than one hour at the prevailing hourly rate.
This means the minimum charge for 2 men without a truck (for up to 2 hours of work) is $360. This minimum increases in proportion to the hourly rate, so the minimum charge for 3 men without a truck is $522, also for 2 hours of work.
Packing jobs…
The hourly rate for packing labor is just $120 for 2 packers and $54 for each additional person. There is a two hour working minimum and also a one hour Trip Charge. The minimum charges for packing labor are the same as for moves with no truck.
We do charge for the cartons and packing materials that we use to protect your belongings.
