How we charge...
We charge
$79 an hour for 2 men
with 1 truck. We charge $30
per hour for each additional man.
The hourly rate starts when we reach your door and continues, apart
from breaks, until the completion of services, including the time
spent driving between the loading site and the destination. If this
time is less than two hours, then it is rounded up to two hours.
We then add a Return Trip Charge, which we specify at the time the
job is booked. This charge takes into account the time it takes to
drive between the loading site and the destination. The minimum
charge is equivalent to forty minutes at the prevailing hourly rate.
There is no sales tax on labor and we do not add a gas surcharge.
Moves where no truck is needed:
If no truck is
needed, such as when someone is moving within the same building, the
rate is $70 for a two man crew and $30 for each additional man.
Just as with truck jobs, the hourly rate does not
start until we reach your door, and we have the same two hour
minimum.
The minimum Return Trip Charge on these jobs is
thirty minutes at the prevailing hourly rate.
Packing jobs:
The hourly rate
for packing labor is $40 for the first man and $30 for each
additional man. There is a two hour minimum and also a fixed thirty
minute Return Trip Charge.
We charge for
cartons and packing materials.
We charge
overtime rates for jobs scheduled to start at a specific time late
in the day.
